Ursula Jaimes from Mexico City sat down with us to share her experience while taking her Global MBA, specialising in financial management, online with London School of Business & Finance.

My name is Ursula, I come from Mexico City, and I’m 33 years old. I took the Global MBA with the financial management specialisation.

Well, I was looking for a 100% online programme, and other similar programmes I found were not 100% online. At least at one point you needed to go physically to the school, and I wasn’t able to do that because my work is very demanding. And my family – I only live with my mum so I couldn’t leave her at home alone. So, that’s why I was looking for a 100% online programme, and I found this programme very useful.

You need to be very organised, and to schedule yourself somehow, so you can have enough time to read the lectures, to do the work, and to dedicate enough time. I think that’s the most challenging aspect of studying online. In my case, I decided to do it just on the weekends because during the week it’s very random, my schedule.

I learned to be very organised and strict, and to be strict with myself, because you need to be satisfied with your results and the time dedicated to the activity.

I had a good connection with my tutor. I received very quick feedback. It was very practical and very concise, so that was very helpful from my tutor.

You need to be very confident about what you are trying to achieve. You need to be convinced that you want to achieve this MBA. Even though there is a community and other students working with this, in the end it’s you alone with your work. You need to be really convinced of what you want to achieve.
