Lyazzat Zhussupova from Kazakhstan sat down with us to share her experience while taking her Global MBA, specialising in international management, online with London School of Business & Finance.

My name is Lyazzat, I’m 30 years old, and I’m from Kazakhstan. I just graduated with an MBA in International Management.

I had been working at the United Nations office of drugs and crime as a programme and finance officer. I felt I needed some improvements and needed new skills, new knowledge that could be used in my current job. I chose the MBA in International Management because it influenced my work.

I decided to choose distance-based learning because I could combine my job plus studying, and this is very convenient when you have such a situation. I could work 5 days a week, and on Saturday and Sunday I could spend time studying. Online study gives you the opportunity to study when you have time. This is very important, for example, when you have business trips.

There were a lot of lectures and modules that were very useful for me. I used this knowledge and these new skills, new things that I’d never heard before, developed my career, and got a new job because of this MBA programme.

Compared with traditional classroom-based study, online, or distance-based study is much better.
